Mazen Nahawi, who has lived in the UAE since 1974, believes that social media will empower the Arab identity to emerge in the near future. He continued saying that the Arabs’ collective consciousness will allow the possibility of the Arab world to advance and be better.
He went on to stress the importance of having self-righteousness in order to advance and be better. According Mr. Nahawi, it is highly important to address trends of the present time and become future advocates for our countries and rights to be able to tackle problems and fight for the right information.
He believes that it is significant to have information to be able to research an issue and solve it as it is the first step to success. He continued to explain, “I believe that Arab identity will emerge” meaning that after all of these revolutions and the power of social media, the Arab identity will be clearer to people around the world and will come back to life, also, in his point of view, the family and economical structures will change due to that power. He strongly stated that what is missing in the Arab countries is a sense of personal responsibility towards patriotism.
